GOD'S WORD REVEALS GOD'S VISION FOR MAN\nIsaiah 29:11–12\nThe Bible is not merely a religious book.\nIt is God's revelation.\nTherefore, one of the greatest dangers to a believer is to live according to a definition that did not come from God.\n\n2. GOD'S WORD IS THE MANUAL OF THE CREATOR\nThink about something simple.\nIf you buy a machine, the manufacturer normally gives you a manual.\nGenesis 1:27\nYou are not self-created.\nGod is your Creator.\nTherefore, your purpose is not something you manufacture.\nYour purpose is something you discover.\nAnd God's Word is one of the primary places where that discovery happens.\n\n3. IF PEOPLE CAN DISCOVER THEIR PROFESSION FROM BOOKS, WE CAN DISCOVER OUR PURPOSE FROM GOD'S BOOK\n\nJesus said:\n“Search the scriptures.” — John 5:39\nThe word is search.\nIt speaks of investigation.\nExamination.\nLooking deeply.\nYou don't search for something by casually looking at it once.\nYou search because you believe there is something there that you need to discover.\n\n4. YOUR LIFE HAS A DIVINE BLUEPRINT\nOne of the most powerful truths in Scripture is that God's purposes concerning Christ were already written before He came physically into the world.\nJesus did not arrive on earth and begin guessing what He was supposed to do.\nHe knew there was something written concerning Him.\nHebrews 10:7\nJesus found Himself in the Scriptures.\nThe Scripture was not merely telling Him about history.\nIt was revealing His assignment.\n\n5. SOMETIMES THE SILENCE IN YOUR LIFE IS BECAUSE GOD IS SHOWING YOU TO SEARCH\nThere are seasons in Scripture where we don't hear much about what Jesus was doing.\nWhy?\nBecause there was a process of preparation.\nThere was a time when Jesus was growing.\nThere was a time when He was increasing in wisdom.\nLuke 2:52\n“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”\n\nA. YOU ARE AN EAGLE\nDeuteronomy 32:9–14\nGod describes His people using the picture of an eagle.\nThe eagle is associated with height, strength, vision and the ability to rise above.\nThis tells us something about God's intention for His people.\nYou were not redeemed merely to survive.\n\n6. EVERY CHILD OF GOD HAS AN IDENTITY REVEALED IN THE WORD\nEvery child of God is redeemed.\nThat redemption gives us a new identity.\nThe Bible uses powerful pictures to help us understand what God has made us.\n\n7. YOU ARE LIKE THE SUN — CALLED TO CARRY LIGHT\nThe sun provides light and energy that sustain life.\nPlants depend on sunlight.\nPlants provide food and oxygen that support other forms of life.\nEverything is connected.\nIn the same way, God did not save you only for yourself.\nYour life is supposed to become a blessing to others.\nJesus said:\nMatthew 5:14\n“Ye are the light of the world.”\nNotice He did not say:\n“You are the light of your house.”\n\n8. PURPOSE IS NOT TRIAL AND ERROR\nThis is where the message becomes very practical.\nMany people live like this:\n“Let me try this.”\nIt fails.\n“Let me try that.”\nIt fails.\n\n9. THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS US UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRITTEN\nHowever, we need something more than merely owning a Bible.\nWe need the Holy Spirit.\nBecause you can have the Book and still miss the message.\nYou can read the words and miss the revelation.\nYou can read Scripture without understanding how it applies to your life.\nJesus said:\nJohn 16:13\n“When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth...”\nThe Holy Spirit is our divine Teacher.\nTherefore, Bible study should not simply be:\n“Holy Spirit, help me finish this chapter.”\n\n10. YOU CANNOT ACCESS WHAT YOU REFUSE TO SEARCH\nImagine someone saying:\n“I believe God has a plan for me.”\nThen you ask:\n“How much time do you spend searching the Word?”\n“I don't really read the Bible.”\nThere is a problem.\nIf the blueprint is in the Book, but you never open the Book, how will you discover the blueprint?\nJeremiah 33:3\n“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”\n\n11. JESUS FOUND HIS ASSIGNMENT IN WHAT WAS WRITTEN\nLook again at Luke 4.\nJesus opened the scroll.\nHe found the place where it was written concerning Him.\n\n12. STOP ASKING ONLY “WHAT DO I WANT TO DO?”\nOne of the biggest questions our generation asks is:\n“What do you want to do with your life?”\nBut the believer should ask a deeper question:\n\n13. YOUR PURPOSE IS DISCOVERED, DEVELOPED AND DEPLOYED\nThere are three stages.\n1. DISCOVER IT\nSearch the Word.\nStudy Scripture.\nPray.\nListen to the Holy Spirit.\nObserve the gifts and burdens God has placed inside you.\n\n \n2. DEVELOP IT\nOnce you discover something, develop it.\nJesus grew.\nDavid developed.\nPaul developed.\nThe disciples developed.\nDiscovery without development produces frustration.\n \n3. DEPLOY IT\nEventually, what God has placed inside you must become a blessing to others.\nYou don't discover purpose simply to admire it.\nYou discover it so you can fulfill it.\n\n14. WHAT IS WRITTEN MUST BECOME WHAT IS LIVED\nThere is a danger of becoming someone who knows Scripture but does not practice Scripture.\nYou can know what is written and still not walk in it.\n\n","encoded_content":null,"username":"jvava","author":"anonymous","visibility":1,"category":"sermon","quiz":null,"communities":null,"view_access":null,"edit_access":null,"state_vector":null,"sync_tracker":"2a2bb26e-7d88-4ac0-9265-8311d11cbf6d","created_at":"2026-09-30T18:05:21.000Z","updated_at":"2026-09-30T20:26:43.000Z"}}
