Prevail against spiritual opposition.\nPower of the enemy.\n\n\n\nWHY DO I NEED POWER\n1. I Need Power for Things to Work\nLuke 24:49\nJesus told His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they received power from the Holy Spirit. Although they had walked with Him for three years, they still needed divine empowerment before beginning ministry.\n\nLikewise, prayer and fasting position us to receive fresh empowerment from God. It is not enough to have good intentions or knowledge; we need God's power to make our lives fruitful and effective.\n\n\n\nGod's power enables:\n1.Effective prayer.\n2.Fruitful ministry.\n3.Victory over temptation.\n4.Divine favor and open doors.\n5.Strength to fulfill God's purpose.\n6.Boldness to witness for Christ.\n\n\n\n\n\n2. Without Power, Things Don't Work.\nThroughout Scripture, God consistently worked through people who were empowered by His Spirit.\n\nBiblical Examples:\nMoses could not confront Pharaoh until God empowered him (Exodus 3–14).\nThe disciples preached with boldness only after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2).\nSamson accomplished extraordinary feats because the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Judges 14:6).\nPeter denied Jesus before Pentecost but became fearless after receiving power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 2–4).\n\nReal-Life Examples\n\n1.A believer may have education, opportunities, or talents, yet struggle to make meaningful progress without God's help.\n2.Many people possess gifts but lack the spiritual power to produce lasting impact.\n3.Prayer becomes effective when accompanied by God's power and presence.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHOW TO PREVAIL IN PRAYERS FOR POWER\n1. Engage a Pure Heart and a Clear \nProverbs 15:8\nProverbs 15:29\nIsaiah 59:1–2\nGod is always willing to answer prayer, but sin creates a barrier between us and Him.\nIsaiah 59:1–2 teaches that God's hand is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear. The problem is often unconfessed sin, disobedience, or a compromised heart.\n\nProverbs 15 reminds us that:\nThe sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord.\nThe prayer of the upright delights Him.\nThe Lord hears the prayer of the righteous.\n\nA pure heart does not mean sinless perfection but a sincere life marked by repentance, obedience, humility, and integrity.\n\nNehemiah's Approach (Nehemiah 1:1–11)\nNehemiah demonstrates how to approach God when seeking divine intervention.\nHis approach included:\nHe began with worship, acknowledging God's greatness (v.5).\nHe confessed both personal and national sins (vv.6–7).\nHe reminded God of His covenant promises (vv.8–9).\nHe presented a specific request (v.11).\nHe depended entirely on God's favor rather than his own ability.\n\nNehemiah's prayer teaches that power flows through humility, repentance, faith, and dependence upon God.\n\n\n\n\n\n2.
