One of the greatest dangers after receiving a blessing is to forget the One who made it possible.\n\nA proud person may say:\n“It is because of my knowledge.”\n“It is because I studied.”\n“It is because of my qualifications.”\n“It is because I worked hard.”\n“It is because of my connections.”\n\nBut the question is: Who gave you the ability to learn? Who gave you the strength to work? Who opened the opportunity? Who preserved your life to see the result?\n\nOur education, skills, qualifications, intelligence, connections, and hard work all have their place, but we must never allow the instrument to take the glory that belongs to God.\nPaul understood this principle when he said:\n“But by the grace of God I am what I am.” — 1 Corinthians 15:10\n\nTherefore, thanksgiving should become a habit and a lifestyle.\nWhen God gives, we acknowledge Him.\nWhen God opens a door, we acknowledge Him.\nWhen God preserves us, we acknowledge Him.\nWhen God takes something away, we still trust Him.\nWhen we succeed, we give Him the glory.\n\n \nThanksgiving shifts our focus from what we have achieved to the One who made it possible.\n\n\nWhat About Those Who Don't Know God?\nSometimes we look at people who do not know God and ask:\n“How come they are also successful? How come they have wealth, opportunities, intelligence, businesses and possessions?”\nThe existence of someone's success does not mean that God is absent.\nGod remains the Creator and source of life, ability, wisdom, opportunity, and provision. People may enjoy blessings without recognizing the One behind them.\nTherefore, our response should not be:\n“They don't know God, so God cannot be responsible for what they have.”\nRather, it should remind us of the importance of acknowledging the Giver rather than worshipping the gift.\nWe Must Not Confuse the Gift With the Giver\n\nThe devil can also tempt, deceive, and offer attractive things with destructive intentions. Something can look like a blessing while ultimately leading a person away from God.\nThat is why we should not judge blessings simply by their appearance.\nNot everything that looks good is necessarily good for us.\n\nThe question should be:\n“Where did this come from, and where is it taking me?”\nA genuine blessing should not cause us to forget God. Instead, the more God gives us, the more grateful and dependent upon Him we should become.\n\nNever allow what God has given you to make you forget the God who gave it.\nYour certificate is not your source.\nYour intelligence is not your source.\nYour job is not your source.\nYour business is not your source.\nYour connections are not your source.\nYour strength is not your source.\n\nGod is the source. \n\nWhy must we give thanks?\n• For the preservation of our blessings - Mal. 2:1-3 /Psa. 28:5\nWe should not take God's blessings for granted. What God has given us must continually be committed to Him with gratitude.\n\nWhat are we thanking God for?\n? For supernatural supplies – Ps. 145:16/ 2 Pet. 1:3\nA. Supernatural Supplies\nGod is our ultimate source and provider.\nWhen we say “supernatural supplies,” we mean the things God provides for us beyond what our human strength, ability, income, or resources alone can explain or accomplish.\n\n1. Provision for our needs\nPsalm 145:16 says that God opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing.\nWe thank God for:\nFood and water\nClothing\nShelter\nFinances\nTransportation ( i remember walking 4-5 kilometers to church use be )\nDaily necessities\nResources for our families\n\n2. Opportunities we did not create ourselves\nSometimes God provides through an opportunity that we could not have arranged by ourselves.\n\nFor example:\nA job opportunity\nA business opportunity\nA promotion\nA contract\nA connection with the right person\nAn opportunity to learn or develop a skill\n\nWe can work hard, but we cannot control every door that opens for us.\n\n3. Strength and ability\n2 Peter 1:3 says that God's divine power has given us “all things that pertain unto life and godliness.”\nSo we don't only thank God for things. We thank Him for the capacity to obtain and use those things.\n\nFor example:\nWisdom\nKnowledge\nUnderstanding\nCreativity\nStrength\nGood judgment\nSkills\nAbility to work\n\nYou may say:\n“I studied for the examination, but God gave me the understanding and strength to study.”\nOr:\n“I worked for the promotion, but God gave me the health, wisdom, opportunity, and favor that made it possible.”\n\n4. Provision at the right time\nSometimes supernatural supply is not necessarily an abundance of money or possessions. It can be having exactly what is needed at the right time.\nYou may not have everything you want, but somehow you have what you need to continue.\nThat is also a reason for thanksgiving.\n\n5. Things we did not even know we needed\nThere are times when God provides or makes a way before we even recognize the need.\nThis is why thanksgiving should not be limited to the things we can see.\nThe deeper point:\nSupernatural supply is not just about receiving things from God. It is recognizing that God is our ultimate source.\nYour salary may come from your employer, but God is the one who gives you the ability to work.\nYour business may generate income, but God can give you the wisdom, customers, opportunities, and strength to operate it.\nYour qualification may come from your studies, but God gave you the mind and opportunity to acquire it.\nSo we don't worship the channel; we thank the Source.\nPsalm 145:16 ? God opens His hand.\n2 Peter 1:3 ? God's divine power provides what pertains to life and godliness.\n\nThat is why we can say:\n“Lord, I thank You not only for what You have given me, but for being the Source behind everything that has made my life possible.” \n\n\n? For divine protection – Ps. 127:1-3/ Ps 34:7\nMany times, God's protection is invisible. We may never know how many dangers He has prevented from reaching us.\nDivine protection means recognizing that our safety, preservation, and security ultimately depend on God. There are many dangers we see, but there are also dangers we never see or even know existed.\n\nPsalm 127:1 teaches that:\n“Except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”\n\nThis does not mean we should stop taking precautions or doing our part. It means that human security alone is not enough. We can have security systems, police, doctors, insurance, technology, strong doors, and people watching over us—but ultimately, God is our keeper.\n\nWhat are we thanking God for when we talk about divine protection?\n1. Protection from dangers we know about\n\nThere are situations where we clearly see God's intervention:\nAccidents we escaped,\nIllnesses we recovered from,\nDangerous situations we survived,\nAttacks that did not succeed,\nPeople who intended harm but could not accomplish it,\n\nSometimes we look back and say, “If God had not helped me, I don't know what would have happened.”\n2. Protection from dangers we never knew about\nThis is one of the most powerful reasons to give thanks.\nYou may travel from one place to another and arrive safely, without knowing what God prevented along the way.\nYou may sleep peacefully at night without knowing what could have happened around you.\nYou may go to work and return home without knowing the dangers that God kept away from you.\nTherefore, we should not only thank God for the dangers we escaped; we should thank Him for the dangers we never knew existed.\n\n3. Protection of our families\nPsalm 127 connects God's protection with the home and family.\nWe thank God for preserving:\nOur children\nOur spouses\nOur parents\nOur siblings\nOur relatives\nOur homes\n\nWe may not be physically present with them every moment, but God can watch over them when we cannot.\n\n4. Protection from evil\nPsalm 34:7 says:\n“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” This gives us the picture of God surrounding and defending His people.\n\nThere are battles we know about, and there are battles we don't know about.\nThere are attacks we see, and there are attacks God stops before they reach us.\nA powerful point for Thanksgiving\nSometimes we thank God because something happened.\nBut sometimes we should thank God because something did not happen.\n\nYou can say:\n“Lord, I thank You not only for the accidents You helped me escape, but also for the accidents I never knew were coming.”\n“I thank You not only for the enemies I saw, but also for the enemies I never knew existed.”\n“I thank You for the dangers You delivered me from and the dangers You prevented from ever reaching me.”\nThe main lesson\nWe cannot see everything God has protected us from.\nThat is why thanksgiving should not depend only on what we can identify.\n\nEvery morning we wake up, every journey we complete, every night we sleep peacefully, and every day our families are preserved can become an opportunity to say:\n\n“Father, thank You for Your divine protection. I may not know everything You have protected me from, but I acknowledge that Your hand has been upon my life.” \n? For rendering our enemies helpless - Ps. 138:1,7/ Ps 23:5\n? God can preserve His people even in the presence of opposition and make a way where enemies intended to cause harm.\nnm  \n? Key lesson: Thanksgiving recognizes that our victory is not merely the result of our own strength; God is the One who fights for us and gives us victory.\n? Main Thought\n? Thanksgiving is more than saying \"Thank You, Lord.\" It is recognizing God's hand in our preservation, provision, protection, and victory.\n\n\n\n","encoded_content":null,"username":"jvava","author":"anonymous","visibility":1,"category":"sermon","quiz":null,"communities":null,"view_access":null,"edit_access":null,"state_vector":null,"sync_tracker":"de5c247b-cca7-45b6-b5b0-dcd2d9bc78f6","created_at":"2026-08-26T17:00:44.000Z","updated_at":"2026-08-26T17:58:39.000Z"},{"id":480,"uuid":"ee308f16-5137-43ca-b601-71834c27ba55","title":"Week 2: UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING – Part 2","excerpts":"What is Thanksgiving?\n A celebration of the acts of GOD in our lives - Psa. 103:1-5 / Psa. 118:23\n\n1. “A celebration”\nThanksgiving is more than simply saying “thank You.” It is a joyful response to what God has done. Thanksgiving involves recognizing His personal dealings with us—what He has done in our individual lives, families, ministries, careers, and circumstances.\nTherefore:\nThanksgiving is a celebration of the acts of God in our lives.\nIt is remembering what God has done, recognizing that He is the One who did it, and responding with joyful gratitude and praise.\nPsalm 103:1–5 ? Remember His benefits.\nPsalm 118:23 ? Recognize His doing.\nThanksgiving ? Celebrate His acts and give Him the glory.\n\nWhy must we give thanks?\n It is our guarantee for answered prayers - Phil. 4:6 / Matt. 6:6,13\nHow does thanksgiving relate to answered prayer?\n1. Thanksgiving brings us into God's presence with faith.\nPhilippians 4:6 says:\n“In every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”\nPrayer + Supplication + Thanksgiving = Making our requests known to God\n\nWe do not come to God only with our needs. We come remembering what He has already done. Thanksgiving strengthens our confidence that the God who answered before is still able to answer now.\nexample i need some urgent assistance. I ask a few buddies around me and no one was able to work, then someone from no where extends help. Having thanked the person, next time if i give thanking the person , if i need help , the confidence to go to same person is high,\n\n\nThanksgiving demonstrates trust before the answer comes.\nWhen I thank God before I see the answer, I am saying:\n“Lord, I trust You with this situation, and I believe You are working even though I cannot see the answer yet.”\n\nSo thanksgiving changes prayer from merely “God, give me this” to “God, I trust You with this.”\n\nThat attitude of faith is important because Scripture says:\n\n“But let him ask in faith...” — James 1:6\n\n\n\n\nWhat are we thanking God for?\n? For His faithfulness in our lives – Ps. 92:1-3/ Ps 89:24\n1. We thank God for His faithfulness in our lives\nPsalm 92:1–3; Psalm 89:24\n\nPsalm 92:1–2 presents thanksgiving as appropriate because God's lovingkindness and faithfulness are continually present. Psalm 89:24 adds that God's faithfulness is with His chosen servant.\n\nWhat does this mean?\nWe thank God because He has remained faithful to us.\nHe has kept His promises even when circumstances changed.\nHe has sustained us through seasons of difficulty.\nHis faithfulness is not dependent on our circumstances.\nKey thought:\n\nWe give thanks because God has been faithful, is faithful, and will remain faithful.\n\n\n? For the victory we look forward to - 2Chr. 20:20-24\n? Christianity is not merely about believing in Christ; it is also about living a victorious and effective Christian life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus never intended for His followers to live by human strength alone. Before sending His disciples into the world, He instructed them to wait until they were \"clothed with power from on high\" (Luke 24:49).\n\n\nPower in God's kingdom comes in different dimensions and is given according to God's purpose and the believer's growth. The focus here is the power that enables believers to prevail in prayer and experience God's intervention.\n\n\n\n\nEvery Christian needs God's power because we cannot fulfill God's purpose through human ability alone.\n\n\nThe word power records in the biblr\n (KJV): the word \"power\" appears 272 times. \n (NIV): the word \"power\" appears about 343 \n\n\nThe Bible repeatedly emphasizes God's power—from Genesis to Revelation—showing that God's power creates, saves, delivers, sustains, and empowers His people to fulfill His purposes.\n\n\nthere is the Power for Salvation and Transformation. this makes us free from sin, have new life in Christ and have a transformed character. WHy will Paul say that which i dont want to do does what i do.\n2.power to live a holy life -to have victory over sin, have self control and spiritual growth, A certain power is required\n3.Power for Service and Ministry\nTo preach the gospel, teahc God's word, serve with boldness, build God's kingdom\n4.Power in prayer\nthis is the power that makes prayer effective and brings divine intervention.( prayer to break spiritual barriers, obtain answers to prayer, intercede effectively. Prevail against spiritual opposition.\nPower of the enemy.\n\n\n\nWHY DO I NEED POWER\n1. I Need Power for Things to Work\nLuke 24:49\nJesus told His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they received power from the Holy Spirit. Although they had walked with Him for three years, they still needed divine empowerment before beginning ministry.\n\nLikewise, prayer and fasting position us to receive fresh empowerment from God. It is not enough to have good intentions or knowledge; we need God's power to make our lives fruitful and effective.\n\n\n\nGod's power enables:\n1.Effective prayer.\n2.Fruitful ministry.\n3.Victory over temptation.\n4.Divine favor and open doors.\n5.Strength to fulfill God's purpose.\n6.Boldness to witness for Christ.\n\n\n\n\n\n2. Without Power, Things Don't Work.\nThroughout Scripture, God consistently worked through people who were empowered by His Spirit.\n\nBiblical Examples:\nMoses could not confront Pharaoh until God empowered him (Exodus 3–14).\nThe disciples preached with boldness only after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2).\nSamson accomplished extraordinary feats because the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Judges 14:6).\nPeter denied Jesus before Pentecost but became fearless after receiving power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 2–4).\n\nReal-Life Examples\n\n1.A believer may have education, opportunities, or talents, yet struggle to make meaningful progress without God's help.\n2.Many people possess gifts but lack the spiritual power to produce lasting impact.\n3.Prayer becomes effective when accompanied by God's power and presence.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHOW TO PREVAIL IN PRAYERS FOR POWER\n1. Engage a Pure Heart and a Clear \nProverbs 15:8\nProverbs 15:29\nIsaiah 59:1–2\nGod is always willing to answer prayer, but sin creates a barrier between us and Him.\nIsaiah 59:1–2 teaches that God's hand is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear. The problem is often unconfessed sin, disobedience, or a compromised heart.\n\nProverbs 15 reminds us that:\nThe sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord.\nThe prayer of the upright delights Him.\nThe Lord hears the prayer of the righteous.\n\nA pure heart does not mean sinless perfection but a sincere life marked by repentance, obedience, humility, and integrity.\n\nNehemiah's Approach (Nehemiah 1:1–11)\nNehemiah demonstrates how to approach God when seeking divine intervention.\nHis approach included:\nHe began with worship, acknowledging God's greatness (v.5).\nHe confessed both personal and national sins (vv.6–7).\nHe reminded God of His covenant promises (vv.8–9).\nHe presented a specific request (v.11).\nHe depended entirely on God's favor rather than his own ability.\n\nNehemiah's prayer teaches that power flows through humility, repentance, faith, and dependence upon God.\n\n\n\n\n\n2. Be Specific in Prayer\n 1 Kings 3:5–9\nWhen God asked Solomon what he desired, Solomon requested wisdom to govern God's people.\nHe did not pray vague prayers but made a clear, specific request.\n\nSpecific prayers demonstrate:\nFaith.\nClarity.\nDependence on God.\nExpectation of an answer.\nExample: Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46–52)\n\nAlthough Jesus knew Bartimaeus was blind, He still asked, \"What do you want Me to do for you?\"\n\nBartimaeus answered specifically:\"Rabbi, I want to see.\"\n\nBecause he clearly expressed his need in faith, he received his miracle immediately.\nInstead of praying:\"Lord, bless me.\"\n\nPray specifically:\n\"Lord, grant me wisdom for this assignment.\"\n\"Lord, open doors for employment.\"\n\"Lord, empower me to overcome this temptation.\"\n\"Lord, fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit.\"\n\"Lord, give me boldness to share the gospel.\"\n\nSpecific prayers are easier to recognize when God answers.\n\n\n\n\n\nthe wrongs ways we pray:\n1.Praying with unconfessed sin\n2.Wrong motives\n3.Without faith\n4.To impress people\n5.Empty repetition\n6.Unforgiveness\n7.Doubt and double-mindedness\n8.Disobedience\n9.Giving up too soon\n10.Vague requests\n\n\n\n","encoded_content":null,"username":"jvava","author":"anonymous","visibility":1,"category":"sermon","quiz":null,"communities":null,"view_access":null,"edit_access":null,"state_vector":null,"sync_tracker":"380d1049-b5a5-420a-ad92-b1efdc548b0d","created_at":"2026-07-22T15:19:47.000Z","updated_at":"2026-07-22T15:47:19.000Z"},{"id":467,"uuid":"2fa68f05-8a9c-4a96-afbe-250fdfd9d757","title":"Songs","excerpts":"All the saints and angels\nThey bow before Your throne\nAll the elders cast their crowns\nBefore the Lamb of God and sing\n\nYou are worthy of it all\nYou are worthy of it all\nFor from You are all things\nAnd to You are all things\nYou deserve the glory\n\nAll the saints and angels\nBow before Your throne\nAll the elders cast their crowns\nBefore the Lamb of God and sing\n\nYou are worthy of it all\nYou are worthy of it all\nFor from You are all things\nAnd to You are all things\nYou deserve the glory\n\n8x\nDay and ","content":"All the saints and angels\nThey bow before Your throne\nAll the elders cast their crowns\nBefore the Lamb of God and sing\n\nYou are worthy of it all\nYou are worthy of it all\nFor from You are all things\nAnd to You are all things\nYou deserve the glory\n\nAll the saints and angels\nBow before Your throne\nAll the elders cast their crowns\nBefore the Lamb of God and sing\n\nYou are worthy of it all\nYou are worthy of it all\nFor from You are all things\nAnd to You are all things\nYou deserve the glory\n\n8x\nDay and night, night and day, let incense arise\nDay and night, night and day, let incense arise\nDay and night, night and day, let incense arise\nDay and night, night and day, let incense arise\nDay and night, night and day\n\nYou are worthy of it all\nYou are worthy of it all, Jesus\nFor from You are all things\nAnd to You are all things\nYou deserve the glory\nYou are worthy, You are worthy\n\n Hymn\nCaptain of Israel's host, and Guide\nof all who seek the land above,\nbeneath Your shadow we abide,\nthe cloud of Your protecting love;\nour strength, Your grace; Lk 10:19 , Eph 6:10-12\n- The power of God confront devils and conquer them.\nwe can confront devils but to conquesr you need an advantage to do that.\nWho are the \"devils\" the power of God confronts?\n\nThe power of God confronts and overcomes:\n\nDemonic powers (evil spirits)-Jesus cast out demons and gave His disciples authority over them.\nScriptures: Luke 10:17–19; Mark 1:34; Acts 10:38.\nThe works of Satan -The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came to destroy the works of the devil.\nScriptures: John 10:10; 1 John 3:8.\nSpiritual forces of evil -Our struggle is against unseen spiritual powers, not against people.\nScriptures: Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:15.  \n\n\n\n\nTo prevail in prayers for power :\n? Guarantees express answers to prayers – Isa. 58:9/ Jn. 15:16\nEvery employer has conditions they give to their employees inorder to rewarder, some are cheats. The only Employer who gives you much than you deserve when we work for him is God.He is not wicked master like the servant who did not profit with what was given him said.\nFunny enough we take this employer for granted when when there is no reward we complain. The only employer who will not give you resignation letter when you flout the rules/law is God though you might not earn the reward.\n\n\nWe are guaranteed express answers when we work for God not when we wish for things. We work for God according to Isaiah 58:9 :\n1. Removing oppression and injustice.\n2. Treating people with compassion.\n3. Feeding the hungry.\n4. Caring for the poor and needy.\n5. Speaking truthfully and avoiding harmful speech.\n\n\nOnly then does God promise blessings, including express answers to prayers:\nGuidance.\nHealing and restoration.\nProtection.\nA close relationship with Him.\nPrompt responses to their prayers: \"Then you will call, and the LORD will answer.\"\n\n\nso is not being religious that guarantees express answers to prayer, for those coming to church alone, who being in a church department . We are talking about working for God in his lens:\nPsalm50:15 \"And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.\"(nkjv)\n\nMany scriptures makes us to understand that God is more than willing to hear us, but the truth of the matter is it is centered on covenant or platform of working\n\n\njohn 15:16 \"You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.\"(nkjv)\n\n\nAccording to John 15:16, the core work of God's people is to bear lasting fruit. The promise that \"whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you\" is connected to that mission, not presented as an isolated promise.\n\n\nGod chooses His people.\nSalvation and calling begin with Christ's initiative.\nGod appoints them for a purpose.\nThey are not chosen merely to receive blessings but to fulfill God's mission.\nThe purpose is to bear fruit that lasts.\nThis is the central assignment.\nGod promises to answer prayers that support that mission.\nThe promise about prayer follows the purpose of bearing fruit.\n\nWhat is \"fruit\"?\nIn the context of John 15, fruit includes several things:\nChristlike character, as believers remain in Christ.\nObedience to Christ's commands.\nLove for one another (John 15:12, 17).\nLeading others to Christ and making disciples.\nWorks that glorify God and have lasting spiritual value.\nThe connection with prayer\n\n\n? Secures access to our high places – Isa. 58:14/ Hab. 3:2-4,19\nisaiah 58:14 \"Then shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride upon the heights of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.\"(nkjv)\n\n\nWhat does it mean to \"delight yourself in the LORD\"?\nTo delight in the Lord means to find your greatest joy, satisfaction, and pleasure in God Himself rather than merely in what He gives.\n\nIt involves:\n1. Enjoying fellowship with God. You value His presence more than material blessings.\n2. Loving His ways. You take pleasure in obeying His commands because you trust His wisdom.\n3. Trusting His will. You are content with His purposes, even when they differ from your own plans.\n4 Honoring Him. Earlier in Isaiah 58:13, God says that delight is connected with honoring the Sabbath—not treating it as a burden but as an opportunity to honor Him. This reflects a heart that values God above personal convenience.\n\n\n\nVerses 13–14 say that if God's people honor Him and seek His ways instead of pursuing only their own interests, then:\nThey will delight themselves in the Lord.\nGod will exalt and sustain them (\"ride on the high hills of the earth\").\nThey will enjoy His covenant blessings (\"the heritage of Jacob\").\n\n\n\nhabakkuk 3:2 ,2 \"O LORD, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.\",3 \"God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.\",4 And his brightness was as the light; he had rays flashing out of his hand: and there was his power hidden.(nkjv)\n\n\n\nHabakkuk 3:2–4, 19 – God Revives His Work and Strengthens His Servants\nHabakkuk begins by acknowledging God's greatness and praying, \"Revive Your work... in wrath remember mercy\" (vv. 2–4). He longs to see God reveal His power and glory again as He did in the past. The prophet recognizes that God's power is limitless, and he appeals to His mercy even in times of judgment. Because Habakkuk's heart is centered on God's work rather than his own interests, he is confident that God Himself will be his strength. Therefore, he declares in verse 19, \"The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.\" This teaches that those who seek God's purposes and trust His power can depend on Him for the strength, stability, and ability to accomplish the work He has entrusted to them.\n\n\n? Guarantees divine exemption from the evil day – Mal. 3:17-18/ Mal. 4:1-4\nIn Malachi 3:17–18 and Malachi 4:1–4, the \"evil day\" refers to a time when God brings judgment upon sin, rebellion, or wickedness, while preserving those who fear Him and remain faithful. It can refer to both immediate acts of judgment in history and the ultimate Day of the Lord.\n\nAn evil day is a season of:\nDivine judgment.\nCalamity or disaster.\nNational or personal crisis.\nSevere testing or tribulation.\nAny period when the consequences of sin are being manifested.\n\nMalachi contrasts two groups:\nThose who fear the Lord and serve Him(work for him).\nThose who reject Him and do evil.\n\n\n\nGod promises:\n\"They shall be Mine... I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.\" (Malachi 3:17)\nThis does not necessarily mean believers never experience hardship. Rather, it means God knows His own, preserves\n\n\n\n? Secures establishment in the faith – Jn. 15:2/ Luk. 13:6-9\nIn John 15:2, Jesus says:\n\"Every branch in Me that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.\"\nPruning represents God's loving discipline, correction, and training. By removing whatever hinders spiritual growth, God helps believers become stronger and more fruitful. This process establishes them in the faith.\n\n\n\nunlike the devil he does not give time, he will gives you something, use you and kill\n\n\nGod establishes believers in the faith by:\nPruning away spiritual hindrances.\nCorrecting and disciplining them in love.\nProviding His Word, the Holy Spirit, and opportunities for growth.\nPatiently giving them time to mature and bear lasting fruit.\n\n\n\n\n\nPlatform for Kingdom Advancement Stewardship:\n? Praying for supernatural intervention for the needs of members to be met so they can abide in the faith for life – Psa. 23:6/ Eph. 6:8\n\nGod’s goodness (Psalm 23:6) and His faithful reward (Ephesians 6:8) work together to ensure that believers are sustained, established, and empowered to continue in faith and service throughout life. platform for Kingdom Advancement Stewardship” means:\n\nGod supplies needs so believers can remain steady in faith.\nHis provision supports spiritual endurance and service.\nAnswered prayer for members’ needs strengthens the church and advances God’s work.\nFaithful stewardship leads to continued impact in the Kingdom.\n\n\n\n? Stay committed to kingdom care covenant as a life style – Gal. 6:2,10/ Luk. 10:29-30\nGod calls His people to a continuous lifestyle of love in action—bearing burdens, doing good when possible, and showing mercy like the Good Samaritan—so that the Kingdom of God is expressed through practical care for others. A “kingdom care covenant lifestyle” means:\nChoosing to consistently care for others in need.\nSeeing every believer as a responsibility and opportunity for love.\nPracticing compassion as a daily expression of faith.\nReflecting Christ’s mercy through action, not just words.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to do for our stewardship to qualify for rewards:\n? We must serve God Diligently – Pro. 14:23/ 1 Cor. 15:10/ Heb. 11:6\nDiligent service means faithfully and consistently working for God with dependence on His grace and persistent faith, knowing that God Himself rewards those who sincerely and continually seek Him. To qualify for rewards in stewardship:\nServe God with consistent effort and seriousness (Proverbs 14:23).\nRely on God’s grace, not self-strength (1 Corinthians 15:10).\nMaintain faithful pursuit of God (Hebrews 11:6).\n\n\n\n\n\n? Our service must be love motivated – Jhn. 14:21/ 1Cor. 2:9/ 1 Cor. 13:3\n\nJohn 14:21 -“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me…”\n\nJesus shows that:\nObedience is proof of love.\nService flows from a heart that loves Christ.\nLoving God is not just emotional—it is practical obedience.\n\n\n\n\n\n1 Corinthians 13:3-“Though I bestow all my goods… and have not love, it profits me nothing.”\nThis means:\nEven great sacrifices are meaningless without love, Service without love has no eternal value.\nLove is the foundation that gives meaning to all ministry.\n\nGod values love as the motive behind all service. Without love, even great works lose their spiritual value, but when service is driven by love for Christ, it becomes meaningful, acceptable, and rewarded by God.\n","encoded_content":null,"username":"jvava","author":"anonymous","visibility":1,"category":"sermon","quiz":null,"communities":null,"view_access":null,"edit_access":null,"state_vector":null,"sync_tracker":"81d98b7f-d551-4380-8eb7-ea39359ce0f0","created_at":"2026-06-27T12:55:56.000Z","updated_at":"2026-06-27T23:00:39.000Z"},{"id":458,"uuid":"2ac01cd9-c09d-4178-8220-750369bc26e9","title":"PRAYER POINTS FOR TONIGHT SERVICE","excerpts":"PRAYER POINTS FOR TONIGHT SERVICE\n1. The Kingdom functions by principles.\nFaith is a principle.\nGiving is a principle.\nObedience is a principle.\nHonor is a principle.\n\n\n\nMany believers understand faith and giving. Few understand honor. Yet honor determines what you receive from God.\nYou cannot dishonor what God sends and still receive what God placed in it.\n\n\n\nWHAT IS HONOR?\nRomans 13:7\n\"Honor to whom honor is due.\"\n\nDefinition\nHonor = placing value on something.\nAnything you value, you protect. You prioritize it.,You invest in it.,You celebrate it., You sacrifice for it.\n\n\n\nPeople do not dishonor because they hate.\nOften they are dishonored because they do not recognize value.\n\n\n2 Corinthians 4:7\n\"Treasure in earthen vessels.\"\n\nWe see the vessel; God sees the treasure.\nHonor sees the grace; dishonor sees only the humanity.\n\n\n\nWhen you only see the man, you miss the grace on the man.\n\n\n\n\n\nHONOR IS A KINGDOM PRINCIPLE\nExodus 20:12 - \"Honor thy father and thy mother.\"\nThe first commandment with a promise. Not merely obedience. Honor.\nThe reason is that honor attracts blessings and dishonor blocks blessings.\n\nPrinciple\n\nWhere honor flows:\nFavor flows, grace flows, and Blessing flows\nin the story of David & Saul, Saul was wrong. Saul chased David. Saul wanted David dead.\nYet David said, \"I will not touch the Lord's anointed.\"\n\nHonor is not agreement. Honor is recognition of God's order.\n\n\n\nYou can disagree with authority without dishonoring authority. Some people say:\"I respect God but not pastors.\"\n\nHow do you honor the God you cannot see while dishonoring the servant He sent whom you can see?\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY SHOULD WE HONOR GOD'S SERVANTS?\n1. THEY LABOR AMONG US 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13\n\"Know them which labour among you...\"\n\nPeople see:\nOne hour preaching.\n\nPeople don't see:\nHours studying, hours praying, fasting, counseling, tears, and Spiritual warfare.\n\n2. THEY WATCH OVER OUR SOULS\n\nHebrews 13:17 \"They watch for your souls.\"\n\n\n\n3. THEY FIGHT BATTLES WE DO NOT SEE\n\nWhile praying for your family, theirs may be under attack.\nWhile helping you through crisis, they may be fighting one.\nWhile encouraging you, they may need encouragement.\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY SHOULD WE GIVE TO GOD'S SERVANTS?\n\n1 Corinthians 9:11 \"If we have sown spiritual things...\"\n\nGalatians 6:6 Those taught the Word should share with those who teach.\n\nHonor that stays only in words is incomplete honor.\n\n\n\nHOW DO WE HONOR GOD'S SERVANTS?\n\nNumbers 12 - Miriam and Aaron against Moses. \n1. Reverence is not worship.\nReverence is recognizing divine assignment.\n\n\n\n2. Through Obedience - 3 John 4\n\"No greater joy...\" A pastor's greatest joy is seeing transformed lives.\n\nHonor is not saying \"Amen.\" Honor is practicing what is taught.\n\n\n3. Through Prayer Paul's Request \"Brethren, pray for us.\"\nHow many times have you asked pastor to pray for you?\nHow many times have you prayed for pastor?\n\n\n\nThose who carry many people need many prayers.\n\na ship engine tells you how many people the ship it can carry and also how fast and far it can go\n\n\n4. Through Material Support\n\nQueen of Sheba honored Solomon with gifts. Prophets often received offerings.\nHonor was expressed practically. Statement\n\n\n\n\nTHE REWARD OF HONOR\nMatthew 10:41 - \"Receive a prophet... receive a prophet's reward.\"\nPrinciple\nHonor positions you to receive.\nDishonor closes doors.\nHonor opens doors.\nHonor must become tangible.\n","encoded_content":null,"username":"jvava","author":"anonymous","visibility":1,"category":"sermon","quiz":null,"communities":null,"view_access":null,"edit_access":null,"state_vector":null,"sync_tracker":"a2a053e2-3c9c-4309-8524-19047e3ef75b","created_at":"2026-05-31T08:32:13.000Z","updated_at":"2026-05-31T09:04:49.000Z"},{"id":449,"uuid":"61d32d47-be5a-40a8-b7b4-0e8e6324ae60","title":"I WILL WAIT PRAYER ENCOUNTERS SATURDAY 30TH MAY 2026","excerpts":"I WILL WAIT PRAYER ENCOUNTERS \n\nSATURDAY 30TH MAY 2026\n\n1.
